On the morning of September 30, China MCC hosted grand flag-raising ceremony at MCC Building to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. Chen Jianguang, Member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of China MCC, attended the event and delivered a speech. Yan Aizhong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of China MCC, presided over the event.
During the ceremony, the flag raisers marched into the venue with sonorous and forceful and uniform steps to escort the national flag. Amid the majestic national anthem, the bright five-starred red flag rose up slowly. All participants, with a full-spirited demeanor and a high-spirited striving attitude, saluted the national flag with eyes, extending the blessings and tribute of MCC staff to the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
In his speech, Chen Jianguang pointed out that the 76 years is a magnificent and inspiring epic of struggle for the People's Republic of China. Over the past 76 years, Chinese people have marched forward regardless of hardship and strived ahead, from lagging behind and being vulnerable to attacks to achieving independence, from lack of basic living necessities to all-round well-being, from seclusion to opening-up policy, and from following and parallel development to leadership in some fields, creating countless miracles step by step.
Chen Jianguang emphasized that looking back on the past, MCC's development has been a history of sharing weal and woe with the motherland. Over the past 76 years, MCC staff have been actively committed to the historical practice of building a strong country, and have participated in and witnessed the magnificent journey of China's iron and steel industry growing from small to large and then to strong. Looking into the future, MCC staff should have the courage to take on responsibilities and strive to create a brighter future. It is necessary to adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, uphold and strengthen the Party's overall leadership, firm confidence in development, gather development strength, and solidly advance various tasks such as "stabilizing growth, promoting innovation, strengthening industries, advancing reform, preventing risks, ensuring safety, and enhancing Party building", while boosting the key tasks of "Four Stabilizations and Eight Progresses" in a coordinated manner; achieve the "One Goal, Two Best, Five Strengths" goals, continue to consolidate and optimize the "One Core, Two Subjects, Five Characteristics" business system, earnestly strengthen core functions and enhance core competitiveness, give full play to the "three roles" of central enterprises, promote the high-quality start of the "15th Five-Year Plan", and make every effort to advance the enterprise re-transformation and re-upgrading; focus on the annual tasks and targets, further boost production and operation, seize the golden period of production and operation in the fourth quarter, and go all out to secure a successful conclusion for the "14th Five-Year Plan".
Over 200 people attended the national flag-raising ceremony, including members of the leadership teams of China MCC, cadres above the deputy division level of the headquarters, some members of the leadership teams of subsidiaries in MCC Building, and employee representatives.
